a&o Heidelberg: Europe’s largest hostel group expands in Germany, with further growth planned across Europe

  • Following the recent openings in Brighton, Antwerp, and Brussels, a&o Hostels plans to open their next property in Heidelberg
  • a&o Heidelberg will open in Germany's oldest university city at the end of 2026, just 650 metres from Heidelberg main station
  • The property is expected to have 118 rooms and 320 beds
  • a&o Heidelberg is a&o’s 26th property in Germany and 43rd in a&o’s overall European portfolio
  • a&o Hostels now has over 30,000 beds globally
  • a&o, along with its owners, Proprium Capital Partners and StepStone Group, has over 500 million euros available to invest in and grow its European portfolio
