Unlike German Youth Hostel Association (DJH) hostels, you don’t need to be a member to stay at our a&o youth hostels. There are no additional costs beyond those for accommodation and any extra services you might use such as one of our activity programmes. Families are also very welcome in a&o youth hostels: extra-large family rooms offer the comfort you need to get a proper rest at night to wake up fighting fit for next-day’s activities. With our a&o youth hostel in Salzburg, you’ll enjoy a central location at an affordable price – perfect to explore Salzburg in a relaxed and easy-going way. Explore this Austrian city of culture and visit Hellbrunn Palace, which is well known for its water games. Or see Mozart’s birthplace, Salzburg Cathedral and Cathedral Square, or Hohensalzburg Fortress. The Getreidegasse shopping street, where you can wander around and marvel at the Austrian craftsmanship, is especially charming. We’ve got your catering needs covered as well: an extensive breakfast buffet awaits you each morning at our youth hostels for 7 euros; children up to 6 years old get breakfast free of charge, from age 7 and up it is half price, and young adults aged 18 years and over pay the full price. For groups of 10 or more, we also offer dinner (by arrangement). If required, we can prepare packed lunches for you for 6 euros (there is a 50 cent discount for groups of 10 or more), each including a sandwich, fruit, confectionery bar, and a drink.
