A&O Hamburg Hauptbahnhof recertified with four QMJ stars

The A&O Hotel and Hostel Hamburg Hauptbahnhof has been awardedwith four QMJ-stars by the Federal Forum for Children and Youth Travele.V.

"We are delighted with the award as part of the quality management Youth Travel. This award offers help to teachers and parents who try to select among the many youth lodging options. This way they will most likely find the right accommodation in terms of quality and safety standards", says Oliver Winter, General Manager of A&O HOTELS and HOSTELS.

Reinhard Schwarz, auditor at Quality Management for Children and Youth Travel (QMJ), explained in an excerpt: "The A&O Hamburg Hauptbahnhof offers affordable accommodation for groups, families and individuals. The separation of the hotel area in the 6th and 7th floor from the hostel area appears successful; an individual lodging according to “type” of guest is possible.

A variety of leisure activities is offered to guests [...] as well as external services in the areas of art, culture and entertainment. Guests are advised extensively. Support and advice of guests is exemplary. Night service with external security forces is excellently organized. Information documents and internet presence are convincing."

A&O HOTELS and HOSTELS have already certified eleven houses, including ten with four and one with five stars. The aim of the hostel chain is to be classified in all relevant lodgings. A&O hosts more than 15,000 schools per year. Therefore the hostel group cares about a high level of hygiene, functional equipment, comprehensive leisure programmes and safety of accommodation. "The award shows that our A&O Hamburg Hauptbahnhof is worthy of these high quality requirements", Winter continues.
