The a&o Amsterdam Zuidoost is located in the Bullewijk district close to the metro station. In 15 minutes you can travel with ease on the M54 to Amsterdam Centraal. Whether your journey is by car, bus or train, we are easy to find. Numerous on-site bus and car parking spaces are available.

Right nearby the building, you'll find the Ajax Amsterdam Arena, the world famous Endemol TV studios, the Heineken Music Hall, and the Ballorig Children's Play Paradise. Relaxation's just around the corner in Bijlmerpark – be sure to check out the Kwaku Festival, held every summer. The reception and lobby bar are open 24 hours for your convenience. Relax with delicious snacks and refreshing drinks in the lobby, or with a game of billiards or table soccer. Another highlight is the room structure of the building: We are particularly suitable for families, both big and small, and all types and sizes of groups.

From Sloterdijk metro station:

When you reach the metro platform, take the M50 line towards Gein. In about 30 minutes you arrive at the station Bullewijk. The a&o hostel would have to be in sight as it is parallel to the metro station. If you look to the hostel, take the stairs to the right that lead out of the metro station. The underpass then left. If you have done everything right, there is a recreational area to your right and a small bridge in front of you. Cross the bridge, walk 100 meters past our building, and you will be in front of the main entrance.

From Amsterdam Centraal / Stationsplein:

The Stationsplein is located in front of the Central Station (Amsterdam Centraal). Take a minute to admire the beautiful façade of the station building and then take one of the exits to the metro on the Stationsplein, marked "M", then take the M54 towards Gein south for about 15 minutes to the station Bullewijk – the a&o hostel would need to be in sight, as it is parallel to the metro station, and if you are looking to the hostel, take the stairs to the right that lead out of the metro station, then left to the left. If you have done everything right, there is a recreational area to your right and a small bridge in front of you, cross the bridge, walk 100 meters past our building, and you are in front of the main entrance.

By bus:

In Amsterdam there are several bus stops: Amsterdam Sloterdijk (MeinFernbus-FlixBus, Megabus) or the bus stop at Stationsplein 3 (BerlinLinienBus, Eurolines). Please inform yourself in advance, where your bus stops.

Vom Schiphol Airport:

From Schiphol Airport you can drive to the a&o by car or taxi. The journey time is 16 minutes. Alternatively, from the airport, take the Intercity 2147 towards Nijmegen or the Intercity 3547 towards Venlo. The journey takes 15 minutes and costs only € 3.70. Trains leave every 15 minutes from the airport. Get off after 2 stops at the Amsterdam Bijlmer Arena and walk about 7 minutes to our a&o. Cross the Hoogoorddreef, walk for 5 minutes along the water, then you will already see the Hogehilweg and our a&o.

Prices at a&o depend on availability. The fewer beds available in a room category, the higher the prices; when occupancy is low, they automatically decrease. Basically, this means for guests: The earlier you book, the cheaper it is. On the other hand, last-minute travelers can usually continue to take advantage of great last-minute offers - of course, only as long as the relevant category is available.

How are the rooms at a&o equipped?

All room categories offer modern hotel standard with private bathroom and free WiFi. As a rule, each room also has a TV. Single, double and family rooms include bed linen and towels. Family rooms consist of a double bed and one or two bunk beds. Dorm rooms have four to eight beds. Bed linen can be brought or reserved for a small additional fee. All bathrooms are standard equipped with shower/WC, 2-in-1 shower gel, hair dryer and cosmetic tissues.

Can I stay with a dog/pet at a&o?

At a&o, a maximum of two dogs or pets can be taken without any problems in single or double rooms - for an additional fee of 13 euros per animal and night. The animals should just not be too large or exotic.

Can I cook for myself at a&o?

Cooking for yourself is not a problem at a&o. Most a&os offer a well-equipped guest kitchen. Which hostels have a guest kitchen is noted on the respective hostel website and in the booking confirmation.

Are there cribs at a&o?

Each hostel has cribs that can be borrowed free of charge. When booking online, simply note this in the notes field. The room will be prepared accordingly.
